Just joined the forum these days and look forward to learning some more about audio on Linux.
I'm mainly a technician (trained in electronics) but music has always been an interest of mine. I play piano/keyboards and a bit of percussion.
Linux has been my only OS for the last 3 years. Started with Ubuntu, but for the regular stuff I now use PuppyLinux, which I find really amazing.
Anyway, music-wise I started with UbuntuStudio(9.10) only a few weeks ago. From what I've read here I suppose I should also give 64studio a try.
Looking for a good DAW I had a quick look at Qtractor and LMMS and a slightly closer look at Rosegarden. But then I managed to install wineasio and REAPER. Very impressive, I must say! I'm very tempted to keep using REAPER now although I would have loved to use a native Linux app as my main DAW. Too bad...
Regards
