Hey guys!
My laptop headphone jack broke (physically) so I decided to use a usb headset to solve the problem. Pulseaudio Device Chooser works fine to route normal audio to usb headphones (I have a Plantronics USB adaptor) but when I start JACK - the audio does not get routed to the USB headset.
I tried using pulseaudio-module-jack, but what that did was route all possible audio to jack.
Is it possible to route JACK audio to the usb headset somehow?
The headset gets listed in the devices as an ALSA device. I wonder why is it alsa.

Re: Route JACK output to a usb headset
If it's recognised by ALSA, it should show up in qjackctl under 'Setup', 'Interface', right? (upper right of the dialog)Louigi Verona wrote:The headset gets listed in the devices as an ALSA device. I wonder why is it alsa.
Re: Route JACK output to a usb headset
your headset will not be your jack primary device. To use it concurrently with your jack primary device, use alsa_out if you use jack1 or the in-process client called audioadapter with jack2.
EDIT: about ALSA, it is probably recognized as a USB audio device which ALSA supports.

raboof, what you said )
actually,. as soon as I've posted this message, I've found the option in JACK setup. Before that I did go through the drop down list in Output option, but there were only hw:0 and whatever. But if you press arrow near the dropdown list, you get another one where the USB headset was mentioned - and it worked pefectly )
