What is the path for custom metronome sounds with AppImage?

Hi,

In the official documentation is the way how to use custom sounds for the metronome. But that indication is not for AppImage. So I'm trying to load my favorite metronome sounds but I failed.

I created the next folder, but nothing happens: ~/.local/share/muse-4.0/metronome/
In this folder I put two .wav files.

I tryed the next path, too:./config/MusE/MusE/metronome/
Same results: nothing.

Some suggestions?

Try selecting your waves in the metronome configuration dialog:

@Tim E. Real thanks for your time, but my problem is that I don't know where to put the wav files, remember I'm using AppImage version and the official documentation is for packaged or compiled versions.

Yeah, I see the problem, we only look for metronome sounds in the installation path, which in the case of AppImage is inside the image. So, there is currently no good way to override this. It should be relatively easy to remedy but please make a bug report so it gets remembered.

Best workaround right now is to build from source and add or replace metronomes in the installation path.

So, I went ahead and tried to fix this.
Please try the most recent master AppImage, it should recognize the samples placed under $HOME/.config/MusE/MusE/metronome.
