So it is once again that time of the year -- since 2004 I've released an xmas single/album, and this year I've put together 6 tracks with "a little help from my friends". Although the albums are always somewhat Tom Waits/Nick Cave-ish, I like to include a few detours into other areas. So, I also put together a pop-rock song, "Någonting" (meaning "Something" in Swedish). Mats, who is playing the guitars, suggested I should try to make a more "arena rock" version of it, so here it is. As with most of the music I make as my alter ago "Lars Domino" it is a bit lofi...

For those of you that don't understand Swedish (all except @spamatica ) here is a translation of the first verses:

Hey hey, this is a fun song! I must admit, I have an xmas allergy, but luckily I don't understand Swedish. Though I do love to hear it sung, all the more joy and blissful ignorance for me then.
I enjoyed the "devil may care" shredding, almost cheesy sound, it brings out the fun in the song even more. It gives it that raw energy.

Right, that is not the most xmas-inspired song on the album! I wrote it the last, as I felt the album needed something more uptempo! Also, it has the most positive lyrics. I am happy yoy enjoyed it!

This was a good listen. I especially liked the visuals. Some of those were certainly filmed near where I live -- especially the sand dunes and the dirt roads in the high desert. Makes me want to go driving.

I think I already commented on this track in the thread about the album but I want to say that yes, you should do this kind of stuff more often. I think in Sweden doing pop rock (or melodic death metal which, let's be honest, is the hard version of it!) is kinda obligatory.

Thanks a lot Fabio, it was really fun to make, and also it was great to work with Mats' guitars. The chorus got a lot better with Kajsa's vocals too.
