@OccinticLady another very good track, in a month you will have a great album ready!
This week my suggestions are:
- EQing is a bit weak on lows, maybe a bit more emphasis or some bass richer sound would help;
- You can turn up the gain on master, the track seems to peak mostly at -36/-48db;
- Some more chorus or reverb would help to fatten a bit the sounds, maybe try also some tape or normal saturation.
Now I'm gonna listen it again and enjoy the Birth of a star from space.

I may need to tweak some things, read up, but that is what a learning experience is.
And...yes, this is to be a series, where I take the listener inward, into Laniakea to our own humble dot
Enjoy listening....

Hey hey, it's a nice ambient'ish track. I agree some more reverb (a lot?) would be nice to glue the sounds more firmly together and suggest more space. The choice of timbres itself is very lovely! But some more bass would be fun. I think it's not required for this genre/sound, but still good to hear. If you think some bass would be nice, but don't want to focus the listener on it, then you could double one instrument at a lower octave with a different sound. This works best if you sequence/record MIDI.

Thanks a lot!
For the bass, I may need to find a plugin, that HAS to be possible.
As far as the reverb goes...you're right. I was a tee too shy to pull all the stops on that one

Lots of things will do. Yoshimi can do nice basses, with the filter cutoff very low. Otherwise any old virtual analogue synth plugin can be useful. For purely functional sub-bass, somethng like a sawtooth oscillator with the filter cutoff very low is a good start. I think there was wysyth or whysynth? Or Helm might do... Maybe there is a MiniMoog emulator. If those are halfway decent they will bring lots of bass.

If you want lots of reverb on a track of this kind it's not too difficult. If you have more movement, more instruments, you'd want to send a track to reverb and then use a highpass filter on the reverb itself, so you don't end up with lots of mush.

I thought of something like Dragonfly or zita-reverb, they can do long and luscious very well. There are many more, especially in VST format, but LV2 should have a few more good long ambient reverbs.

It reminded me of soundtracks from 70s and 80s space movies. I like its mood!

Thank you

What I aim for, primarily. Will I evolve into something else? Possibly. This is the magic of music...IT leads the dance...if you let it

I liked this, very much old Vangelis, which I like a lot!
I'd like some more low end and more reverb, especially on the bright sounds, to make them seem farther away.
Greate space music!

Thanks, duely noted.
You're on to me! Examples: Kitaro, Vangelis, Jarre and Sturzer!

I like them all, even saw Kitaro live once, but Sturzer is a new name to me. Have to check them out!
I've also done some space music before, maybe you'll like it:

All made with FLOSS!
