A very good start. Someone already mentioned the intonation of the Bass - I picked that up too - but it can easily happen if you pick up and tune cold, then don't notice things getting warmer!
I suggest spending some time getting familiar with different pattern variations for both Bass and drums. Just the occasional change of a couple of bars in either or both, will hold the listener's attention more.

This is great, @Michael Willis! Nice work on the bass, especially for a total noob on the instrument. I agree that the bass was a little low in the mix, so that when the glockenspiel came in it sounded too loud. Or maybe the glockenspiel was too hot in the mix. But bad mixing was standard fare in the 1940's when they weren't even doing multitrack! This is a recording to be proud of, for sure!
