Kdenlive would be painful. Is there any FOSS that makes creating lyric videos easy?

I don't think there is anything so specifically tailored to what you're asking, I agree doing it in Kdenlive or any other NLE would be tedious indeed!

BTW I checked out the link in your sig and I like the music! Have you ever posted your stuff down in the Original Scores & Recordings forum down in the nether regions of the forum here?

Thanks for the suggestion but I already have a subtitle editor. Workflow isn't any easier than kdenlive.
