Hello Good People,

I write to inform you that, after something much like 25 years of producing music in a Windows ecosystem, I have found myself on the other side of the looking glass, through the narnia closet, outside of the matrix and into the linuxsphere.... and I have no idea what is going on..... But to be honest, it seems magical and so if anyone wants to point me in the direction of some good info to get me up to speed here so I don't feel like a junior high band member that just downloaded tracker software for the first time, I would be very much obliged.

YAY!

A warm welcome to you. :-D
Regarding information, read the 2 links in my signature across, there is a lot.
And ask specific questions here, there are many nice people with different knowledge and musical influences who are happy to help if they can and have time.

After 25 years on Windows, I would be surprised if it took you a second to get used to GNU/Linux. I, however, expect you to be operative sooner than you think!

Welcome :D

Hi @ghostkevin,

if you can explain a bit more about what software and workflow you are used to on Windows we can give you better advices.

This is a good video to watch https://youtu.be/fEduGnD6ZKQ

This explains one of the big differences, which is a layer underneath audio programs that allows them to be connected together and synced.
