Progressive rock remix/rearrangement: Spitting Ibex Seeds of your sorrow

Hey hey,
after issues, both technical and otherwise, I am back. Currently there is a mix/remix competition by Austrian Microphone manufacturer Lewitt Audio (https://www.lewitt-audio.com). I decided to take part and came up with a remix, almost a complete rearrangement of their song, only using the vocals and part of one guitar:

Used instruments: LinuxSampler with Salamander drums, Sampletekk White grand piano, Gigatron (free mellotron library) and Sampletekk/PMI Dulcimer from the orchestral instruments. Fluidsynth with the ndbass (naturally decaying bass guitar), Yoshimi for the main pad. setBfree and Artu8ia MiniBrute 2s and Behringer Neutron for leads and arpeggio.
MIDI recorded in Midish, audio recorded and mixed in Nama. This also adheres to the maxim "more is more". It took some time to balance the elements so it wasn't a confused mash.

Sounds great, better than the demo version on Lewitt website. The vocals and guitar are probably the best bits in the multitracks.
I thought to attempt a mix of this myself but wasn't hugely inspired by the original and besides it would take me weeks to get something I would be vaguely happy with and there are only 3 days to competition end.

The intro you wrote and played is awesome!!! Love the solo sound, is that the Behringer Neutron?

There is a lot of stuff happening but the mix never gets muddy or overloaded, impressive and interesting, all the time!

They only thing I would change is the drums during the first verse, they seem a bit too static and programmed.

The synth-brass like is the Neutron, the lowpass filtered sync sound is the MiniBrute 2s.

I can see where you're coming from. Though here's a fun fact: it's all played live, with only some degree of quantisation.
