Hi,
Does anyone have a MOTU 828mk3 working on Linux? I recently purchased one to replace my old AudioFire Pre8 and can not get it to work.

If anyone has got it working or has some good audio/Jackd debugging techniques, I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Hi Dave, I don't have an answer for you on the Motu...wish I did, but here's a link which may help:

In your post you mention replacing your Audiofire Pre8. I'm guessing you had it working with Studio?
I have 2 Echo Audiofire Pre8's which work perfectly in W10.
I've recently setup a dual-boot machine using Ubunto Studio 22.04 as the other OS.
My problem is I can't get Ubuntu to see the the Pre8's.
QUESTION: How did you get Ubuntu Studio to see your Pre8?
The dbus in Ffado can't be established.
The Echomixer is also useless.
I'm new to Linux ...Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

If you are running kernel 5.14+ it will be seen by ALSA when plugged in via firewire. It will connect like any other firewire device in Jack using the ALSA driver. Don't bother trying to make it work with FFADO.

The MOTU 828mk3 hybrid will not work using USB.
