Hello good folks of this forum.

For some reason I found myself wanting to re-record a song I made around 15 years ago, which I've played live many times before.
I suppose it was partly therapeutic, recording is good.

It came out pretty OK, a very upbeat dystopian nightmare

As always, recorded with MusE and open source plugins except for Addictive Drums 2 which I have yet to replace.

It gives me some strong space western vibes, really cool! I just finished playing "Outer Worlds" on my PS4, and this track would have fit perfectly

Yeah, I think I can see it fitting. (Been playing that game too but haven't finished it.)

As I like to critique songs when I think it serves a purpose, I'll comment on my own song here. Listening again I think I have a little bit too much bass, both frequencies and instrument. It gets a little muddy in the low end. Especially since I master it pretty hard.

Great tune and catchy chorus! Has a perfect bar room tempo and groove to whip the patrons into a frenzy, would be great to see it performed live I think! Remember when musicians used to play live in front of people in the same room...? Those were good times!

This mix is a bit more cluttered than some of your other stuff, it's a good mix, I'd like a bit less snare and more clarity in the kick and bass guitar but maybe it doesn't matter in a nihilistic sense... none of it is real anyway..
