Is anybody able to help with a reference to the specification of ADAT Lightpipe optical interface? I'm wondering who controls it, and wanting to read it at the definitive detailed signal level, not just conceptually.

The wikipedia article is helpful, but doesn't have a reference; nor can I find one at Sound on Sound or similar.


So far the best I can find is the datasheet for the AL1401 ADAT encoder chip.

There looks to be a lot of detailed signal level information about ADAT in this patent: https://patents.google.com/patent/US5297181A/en
