wireless, jackd and xruns

Hi folks!
Plenty of xruns here

I've got a stable configuration for live sets with a Debian Stretch + PREEMT RT kernel (AVLinux 5.0.10-rt11avl2), running jackd at 64 frames with a NI Komplete audio 6 usb interface.
This configuration is used to sync with another workstation via ethernet cable (ableton link and a custom UDP protocol made with PureData)
Now I'd like to add other workstations, and I'm testing a wireless connection to avoid to add a switch and a lot of ethernet cables.

The problem is, that enabling the wireless network cause my system to freeze every X seconds, and a lot of xruns occurs (~3000 every "freeze" period).
Can you help me find the cause of this behavior?

You could try disabling wireless network scanning to see if that's the issue. You might also double check to make sure you don't have an IRQ conflict with your wifi adapter.

Thank you! The problem was the network scanner, just like you said.
In NetworkManager, I disabled the network scanning using the BSID option, and the xruns disappeared.

Could you please explain how y have disabled the network scanning ? by killing a process, editing a configuration file, inside the network manager ?

I don't know whether the commands below apply to AVLinux / Debian but on Ubuntu variants you could try stopping network-manager to see if that will help.

systemctl stop network-manager.service

or

service network-manager stop
