Re: Hello from Naples
At this moment, i use ubuntu as a desktop computer and then i use software like rhytmhbox for listening. I'd like to use linux to record my guitar songs. I'm going to buy a new laptop an external firewire audio device, so i have to do many choices in the next months. Now, i'm on an Ubunutu Studio and one of mine biggest doubt is the distro i want to use. I need many suggestions and i think i've just found the right place to ask them

Re: Hello from Naples
At the moment, UbuntuStudio 9.10 seems to be the way to go. I just hope they get their repositories more up-to-date, e.g. include jack2 and the latest ardour.
Re: Hello from Naples
64 Studio is another good one. 3.0 beta 3 is the most current, and very stable for being beta.

It is based on Ubuntu Hardy, but has its own repo for a newer kernel and audio/video production software.
