These are my notes for myself (and others) about using Ubuntu 9.10 and an Edirol PCR-500.

First, "it works". When one plugs the USB port of the PCR into Ubuntu, the PCR is available for Jack.
One should note that there are 3 entries for PCR in Jack under ALSA: PCR MIDI, PCR 1 and PCR 2
Connecting PCR MIDI to client makes "music".
