Can't Record Guitarix Effects into Audacity

I want a straight forward way of capturing my guitar into my computer and use Guitarix to add some basic effect. The desired output destination, for now, is Audacity, but eventually OBS.
This is likely some silly routing issue that's not obvious to me. What I'm experiencing is most easily explained with this screencast overview of my setup.

To summarize:
* Linux Mint 20 with low latency kernel with Ubuntu Studio config
* Sound Blaster USB interface (had the same issues with a Pyle USB interface too).
* My acoustic guitar is plugged directly into the Sound Blaster
* I am Using Cadence for managing the plumbing.
* Jack is definitely running with no complaints
* I am able to record sound from the guitar in Audacity, but Guitarix has no impact on the sound.
What am I doing wrong? It's OK to slap me if it's something totally dumb.
