Plugin that has as default sound with long release time?

Ardour (and Mixbus) has bug in import dialog auditioner: when auditioning midi file, notes at the beginning of file will be played as percussive.

For circumventing bug, one solution would be some instrument which has long release time. But that instrument should be default voice of some plugin, because in import dialog you can just select what plugin to use to play midi, not preset.

Now that I'm looking it's interesting to see how many don't have any release as default.
The mda plugins might work, the piano has some release. The JX10 has a lot, it's a kind of paddy sound by default.

JX10 sounds ok with that first, percussive chord, but with rest, not good. Most likely best would be some instrument with longer release but no sustain. Something like marimba or other instrument which is played with mallets.

One idea, make such plugin with HISE. Samples could even be made with some synth.

Anybody familiar with making plugin with HISE, how easy is that?
