Crying Shame (instrumental) is synthpop song a la Ace Of Base, in their late 90s early 00s period.

Unfortunately, it is only an instrumental, clearly missing vocals. But I can't perform any right now. It might be a while yet. Although, perhaps we have another female vocalist amongst us, who'd like to try? There's no lyrics written yet, I would be open to input at this point.
I'm afraid all instruments in this are hardware: I had to give my two new monophonic synths a good outing. So you'll hear Behringer Neutron and Arturia MiniBrute 2 very much in the lead. Sopme Prophet-12 for allthing polyphonic and the trusty old JV-1080 for drums and orchestral hit.
Plugins used: CAPS plate reverb, G2verb, Invada studio compressor, Fons Adriaensen's 4-band parametric filter, Glame high- and lowpass filters, TAP TubeWarmth and TAP stereo echo. I think that's it.

Re: Crying Shame
Yay, nice song!
To think that a backbeat piano can be the foundation of an entire career (talking of course about Ace of Base), but it IS very effective.
Liked this a lot, starts of a bit abrupt, add some kind of intro maybe?
The instruments and playing are really great, nothing to add.
And, yeah, vocals would have been nice, lots of them!

Re: Crying Shame
Thanks @spamatica ! I enjoyed the abrupt start. I tried going against my impulse to put in an intro, to keep it snappy and to the point.
Would you perhaps like to do some vocals? You could even write your own lyrics, in Swedish if you'd like. I think I'd enjoy that. <3

Re: Crying Shame
It does sound like Ace of Base but I think I like it more than "All that she wants". Props!
