Video???

Is anybody here doing serious video work on linux? Are any of the NLEs usable and stable? What about scheduling and playout software?

I've added video production to my services as a teacher. A local coffee house hosts shows given by my students so i invested in a Samsung SC-D382 and have started recording the shows. I'm currently preparing a DVD from clips edited and assembled in LiVES and/or Kino. The latest versions have been very stable.

I've also played with OpenMovieEditor and PiTiVi. I looked at Cinelerra, but it seems to be more than I need at this time.
