I was pondering this not so long ago... maybe there should be a "wanted" thread for people in need of help with their tracks where others who are willing to collaborate could jump in - recording parts or even doing some mixing/production. I'm not sure how popular this would be though, as it's time consuming stuff.
What styles are you comfortable playing? I'm not a great musician and it would be really nice to have some decent solos on a few songs at some point
As for the track, I'm not fond of "electronic" music but I liked the composition and structure of the piece. And of course the solo, very nice indeed
Thanks! It seems there is a "Virtual Music Projects" subforum here, although it doesn't seem very active. I'd agree that it might be time-consuming, although it still sounds interesting.
As for my preferred styles, I'm not really versatile. I mostly just play metal; even when I play along to songs completely unrelated to metal, I often play in a metal style. Sometimes I play cleans just for atmosphere, but not well enough to make a mostly clean song.

Hi
@crownbird!
Cool thing

Very nice execution, not the least the guitar solo!
There were some production details that nagged me however.
For instance I felt the sound of the bass didn't meld with the rest. I would probably have chosen a dirtier/fuller bass sound.
It occurs to me now that perhaps there should have been more reverb overall in the mix, that might have helped with the bass too.
And the guitar, while it was a very nice performance I felt it also didn't have a natural place. I think it might have been the reverb, small room or what it was, I would use a bigger reverb and maybe some delay.
Still very nice =)
Also, I keep reading Guit amplifier. Didn't listen to this for a while since I thought it was a review or demo of a guitar amplifier sound

Never mind, my bad

cool name.

Thank you for the feedback! About the reverb, would you put reverb on the bass? I don't think I've heard that before (though my experience is very limited). Overall, there really wasn't much reverb at all (only on the two bell sounds IIRC) so I see what you mean. And yeah, I can see "Guit" it in the title now that you mentioned it lol.

I didn't specifically mean reverb on the bass, rather that more reverb in the mix could bring the instruments closer together even if the bass didn't have reverb itself.
But sure, it's a synthetic bass, it might work.
I don't think I ever put reverb on an ordinary bass.
