Reaper creating new WINE entries

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

Reaper creating new WINE entries

Post by ZestieBumwhig »

Maybe this is a question for the Reaper forums.

I'm running AVLinux, stock, so I'm using XFCE/Whisker menu. When I open the program browser ("start button"), and go to WINE, it has been filled with Reaper projects. I'm guessing this is because I'm using some Windows VSTs in my Reaper project.

This isn't horrible, but it's annoying. I could research how to get rid of them (I started to, but didn't get far), but I imagine it will keep happening... so I'd like to PREVENT Reaper from populating my WINE program browser with spurious entries.

Oh - and I'm running Reaper as a native Linux program, not through WINE.

Does this make sense? Well, a picture's worth a thousand words.

Yes, thank you! That got rid of those silly old entries, indeed. I expect it to re-populate, though; I don't know why they showed up there in the first place. No Reaper project I've opened yet has put more entries in WINE so far... when it does, I'll try to track down what's doing it, and probably post a follow-up question.
