Hi,
one thing I think Ardour lacks is a more direct way of warping and stretching audio clips. As long as I know, at this moment you only can do it with the Strech Mode tool, that i find a bit cumbersome for some tasks. So I was wondering if there's some plugin that could be usefull for that. I was thinking something like the Ableton's warping tool:
I know MusE haves something pretty similar to this, so maybe there's a plugin I don't know or something. Thanks!

Hey, that's interesting. I don't know if that's what I'm looking for, because it seems to be focused on doing weird effects rather than making adjustments, like quantizing audio beats. Anyway, I'll definitely give it a try to see what it's capable of. Thank you!

Re: Audio warping / stretching plugin
Awesome! I just tried PaulXStretch, got it to work through Wine in Carla. Nice to not have to separately load audio into regular Paulstretch.
Anyone know about any prospect for anyone to pick up PaulXStretch and update it until we can have a native Linux build?

You can build it by yourself. And it is packaged in geekosDAW: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show ... etchPluginwolftune wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:11 am Awesome! It's included with Audacity

Re: Audio warping / stretching plugin
@d.healey I'm not asking about the effect in general. Despite being in Audacity, nearly all the controls are missing. It's a tiny tiny default version of the whole thing. The whole thing is http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/ and it's already included in KXStudio, but that version has a multi-page GUI and requires loading in a pre-saved audio file in only a few formats. It's worth checking out though. Audacity is not giving you only a tiny default taste of what it can do.
I was asking about PaulXStretch, the specific plugin adaptation. https://xenakios.wordpress.com/paulxstretch-plugin/ (which I have got working through Wine at this point)
It looks like https://build.opensuse.org/package/show ... etchPlugin is indeed what I was looking for, thanks @Kott !
That seems to do not just Linux VST but an LV2! I added a request for inclusion in KXStudio.
