Hello,

drummer here. Been using Linux for music creation for a long, long time. Just recently fot netjack working with drumgizmo. Looking forward to the conversation.

Well, before CCRMA there was no Linux at all, as CCRMA existed way before :D

I think they did a lot for our community and they are the living proof that without institutions, FLOSS wouldn't be able to thrive because of market failures. In particular, without FAUST a lot of great libre plugins wouldn't exist and we would be held back by 10 or more years.

Also a shout out at the SoundSoftware project by Queen Mary University of London, they do a lot of great stuff like VAMP plugins that don't get the attention they deserve.
