I'm looking at getting a Godin Multivoice guitar and a Roland GR55 synth to interface with soft synths. As well as using from time to time he GR55 synth itself. For the guitar itself, it will be a slim neck nylon strings, so that it feels more like an acoustic.

Anyone know if the GR55 needs any special drivers on the computer interface side in order to have true polyphonic input ? Or does it happen 'naturally' ?

Here's a demo of a Godin Multivoice with Kontakt:

If you want accurate, analog polyphonic input, you have to use an hexaphonic pickup like the Roland GK-3. The only thing you could need a computer for is editing/storing patches for the GR55, if I understood it correctly.

Thanks, but I'll stick to the GR-55.
