Hi everyone

Post by Triad773 »

Not new to recording but new to QJack, ASLA, etc. on Linux Ubuntu. Windows and asio, fought those wars and won then, looking to get back up to speed using Scarlett Solo v3 on Ardour and or Audacity.

Tnx in advance for any thoughts, looking forward to getting cleaner recordings than I could off My cheap Looper and cumbersome workflow ;)

Happy Saturday

Welcome!

If you are serious about recording, Ardour is an excellent choice :D

+1 on Ardour. Audacity is a good way to get your feet wet, but for serious multitracking projects it has severe limitations.

Yes, Ardour rocks. Prior to moving to Linux for Audio I had been faithfully using Cakewalk/Sonar on Windows for almost 2 decades. The transition to Ardour was actually really quick and easy and I've been very pleased with it.

Oh, and welcome!
