Hello,
are there any libre plugins which emulate a Roland TR-808 via synthesis, not sampling? There are many articles on the web on how to make TR-808 using simple oscillators but I don't know a single program which tries to put all parts together.

Did you see drumsynth from DISTRHO ports? Cabbage has some simple 808 examples.
And not open-sorced but free xhip can do nice drum synth: http://xhip.net/alpha/
