Negative peak limiter asymetric limiting

Post by superprick »

Hello all. My other hobby is ham radio or amatuer radio. With am transmitters in the broadcast and amatuer world it is desirable to have a negative peak limiter in the audio chain. effectivly limiting the negative cycle to 90 percent while allowing the positive cycle to run free. This is how broadcast am stations achieve a "louder signal" without distorting on the receive end for those who do not have a high end sync detector in their receiver.

This is also Know as Asymetric limiting. are their any plugins that can do this or is anyone willing to add this feature to an existing plugin... thanks
