Like everyone else here it seems, I found out about this forum while looking for more info on possible fixes for my soundcard (I just got a Scarlett 8i6 3rd gen).
I'm happy to report that thanks to some great advice from the Computer Related Hardware section, I was able to fix the pops and crackles issues that plagued me on Ubuntu (18.04).
This also led me to compile a Linux kernel for the first time in my life, so there's that too
I'm fairly new to audio production on Ubuntu, I use Bitwig and so far I'm more than happy I switched !
