In the GNU/Linux community we have some trouble establishing priorities. For this reason, many devs work on the same type of programs when a good program for that already exists, while other whole types of programs don't have any (good) existing implementations.
As for audio, this is a pretty big forum which has many active devs and musicians. If we allow musicians to vote for the stuff they need, this could give ideas to talented developers who maybe don't know what to write as well as give more attention to existing programs who may need some work. In general, it can match demand and supply!
Of course, we would need an "upvote" plugin for that specific section.
What do you think about it?

The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common. [Acts 4:32]
