Hello. My Name is Rainer. I'm a drummer and composer using GNU/Linux since 2012 exclusively. Came from Atari Mega ST4 over Windows to GNU/Linux. Never used Apple.
It was a bit of hassle to register. Those "graphics" with unreadable text is a huge barrier for older people with weak eye lights.

However, I'm successfully registered.

Though I forgot to mention, I'm also using a Yamaha SY22 Synthesizer, Yamaha TG55 Sound Module and Roland D110 Sound Module.

By the exception of three videos all other videos are made with my GNU/Linux operating systems as well as the songs have been composed that way!

I love it! Don't want to use any other operating systems anymore!

Welcome Rainer! I remember demo recordings in the 80s when we used a Tascam Portastudio with one of the four tracks used as a sync track, a hardware drummachine that could read the signal and sync the Atari 1040 ST via MIDI.

Re Atari ST:

Unfortunately I had to throw away my Atari ST 8 years ago. The cables went defective. It hurts, though.
On the Atari ST in the mid of the 1990's I developed a DTP Notation Editor in STPascal+ to write and print drum scores. It could also be used in TosBox under Windows 98SE/XP. But when I switched to GNU/Linux I had to give this up also.

For recordings at these days I used a Yamaha MT100 4-track recorder. Missing it sometimes even.

Downloaded and installed. After setting up with a TOS.IMG, I installed all of my Atari ST stuff to drive C. Restarted Hatari and got my old desktop back. Almost all programs work out of the box.

Except: the Score Editor.

Since most of all other programs are using an equal .o file for loading files, I suspect the binary has become some how defective. It starts but crashes when loading a file. All other programs that are using this equal .o file (it's for the linker) do load files without any issues. So I have to search my old Windows machine for the source code and recompile it under Hatari. Which will hopefully have some benefit after all.

My only legitimate use for Hatari was to play Oids. I thought that after all of these decades maybe I could actually beat all of the scenarios, since I was just a kid playing it around 1990.

The harder planets are just as brutally difficult as I remember.

The only thing I ever played on a computer was the Flight Simulator on the Atari ST.
It came with lots of land maps and stuff. Though, mostly I tried to make loops.
To me the computer is a very useful working machine and programming is one of my favorite tasks of computer work.
No offense intended here, but I don't like playing - except my instruments.

Yes, the 1991 "Baby Snakes Live" really had some interesting songs. The shame on this is, it wasn't the first band that broke. From 1984 to 1987 I played in a hard rock band with really cool and lots of commercial hard rock music. We found a local producer who had its own studio to let us record some demos without anything to pay. Not even the tapes!

After we had recorded almost all songs we were playing then there was another guy stepping into the scene. He was a bar owner and we played at his location. But we played German Volksmusik, which was the other part of the hard rock band. He offered a contract of two years length to play each Sunday in his bar, linked to a very special condition.

The condition was: no drums, only acoustic instruments.

So they kicked me out of the band and the guy with the studio pulled off his hairs.

The song "Abandon all hope" on my channel is my "digestion" of these events.

As I stated in the videos description: I'm fine!

I had to search for Coco Roussel, as I never heard of him. Had a look at his web page now, seems to be an interesting guy. Definitely need to listen to some of his music. Probably I'll find some on YouTube...
