Distributed Jamming: imperfect & fun!

So this was friend RayFlower aka KattenMaler from Norway musing about the scales for a chord progression in the opensourcemusicians irc channel, and documenting it with a quick take: https://clyp.it/4e0chzec#
Me, in Spain, rather than calculating scales, just wanted to try out, so I downloaded the sketch, edited and looped it, played along for a take each on guitar and tin whistle, and again edited the 'best of' into a song and did a quick mix on it: http://alooshu.dc7.us/Bossajam.mp3
It still took from the evening into very late night, but I found it a good motivation to want to deliver a reply the same night, and it is the closest I have ever come to preserving the spontaneity of real life jamming in an online collaboration. I'm happy to pay the price of unprofessionality for that. Think of a party in a large house and live music spontaneously emerging from one room. If the guests would move towards that room rather than taking flight - that'd be good enough for me.
