..was in 1999, read the german magazine c't about SLAB. They write something about a "perfect recording studio for Linux like Cubase" -so I bought a SUSE Boxed version.



SLAB never worked for me. I was not the only one who was too stupid to use it . SLAB is dead, but the Website still existing: http://slabexchange.org and the developer Nick Copeland is now working on the Bristol Synths.

I started studying again.... wanted to change my life... couldn't spend money.... wanted to walk a different road....
Thanks to my dad, he was trying Ubuntu and that was just what I needed...

Didn't expect to spend so much hours behind the pc...

Now, I'd rather love Debian...

in physics labs, a long time ago, slackware I believe ... linux was a rather cheap alternative to expensive unixes so labs were switching more and more towards it.
