..was in 1999, read the german magazine c't about SLAB. They write something about a "perfect recording studio for Linux like Cubase" -so I bought a SUSE Boxed version.

SLAB never worked for me. I was not the only one who was too stupid to use it ;). SLAB is dead, but the Website still existing: http://slabexchange.org and the developer Nick Copeland is now working on the Bristol Synths.

What do you think about the Bristol Synth suite? http://freshmeat.net/projects/bristol/

I started studying again.... wanted to change my life... couldn't spend money.... wanted to walk a different road....
Thanks to my dad, he was trying Ubuntu and that was just what I needed...

Didn't expect to spend so much hours behind the pc...

Linux sometimes you hate it, often you love it!

Thanks to the ubuntu community!

Now, I'd rather love Debian...

in physics labs, a long time ago, slackware I believe ... linux was a rather cheap alternative to expensive unixes :) so labs were switching more and more towards it.
