UbuntuStudio on Mac Retina 15" xruns

I am getting lots of xruns running Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS on a Mac Retina 15". I turn off WiFi networking (to void IRQ conflicts), which is needed on other laptops, but that doesn't help. Suggestions appreciated.
