I'm new here - glad I found an LMMS community!

Ladies & Gents,

My name is Matt Rodgers, and I am a VERY amateur EDM home producer.

I bought FL12 last month after a year of using LMMS and promptly went back to LMMS: I am amazed - the more research I do,
the more I realize exactly how much extra creative elbow room LMMS provides over paid DAWs. I hadn't ever touched a DAW
before last year, and yet here I am now thanks to a free DAW, attempting to make trance and techno (and finding to my surprise
how fun, exciting, relaxing, yet hard it can be).
It is message boards and YouTube Uni that have gotten me to being able to make anything, and I really appreciate the
community and your efforts to provide all the NUGs (new useless guys) with well-meant advice and tips for music production
open-source. I would never have pushed through to actually learning LMMS otherwise, and I feel I've only just scratched the
surface of what it lets me do.

Ahead of time, I apologize profusely for annoying the crap out of you all with LMMS questions in the future.
Be assured any help I receive WILL be used and paid attention to.

Respectfully yours,

Matt Rodgers

Welcome. LMMS does fit a niche in the opensource audio world.
I've used it myself when starting out with music production but moved on to other daws because it lacked some audio routing I needed.
I do suggest it to people new to producing. It just works..
The power of the beats and bass line editor is awesome and the way LMMS handles automation tracks is very clever and imho should be adopted in other daws.

Looking forward to your questions and hope I'm able to answer them.
