I have liked SC better in the past. Eliminating the Groups was a great disappointment and lessened its value for me considerably. Csound, SuperCollider3, and RTcmix all had user-contributed Group playlists, they were great resources for learning what kinds of music could be made with such software. Nor am I thrilled with some of SC's recent UI updates.

I keep my account because it's an easy way to present my pieces with a nice display and more-or-less extensive notes. I don't use the metadata facilities to any great extent, my licensing needs are simple, and I can enable downloads of my original file. However, I am on the lookout for a better alternative, or one at least as good.

Best,
