Hey together,
I use a soundcard Beringer U-Control UCA222 USB Audio Interface on my linux distribution kxstudio (with Jack) .
I want to avoid that the inputsignal from my connected microphone on the soundcard will be transmittet to the output directly.
I want to connect it first with reaper and installed vst-plugins there before the modified signal will be send to the output of the USB soundcard. How can I do that?

Now I hear the the inputsignal of the usb soundcard directly in the output signal of the usb soundcard. :(

It should work like on stage : mic -> effect applictaion (distortio,echo..) -> amp

I want that: mic -> usb soundcard in -> reaper-> usb soundcard out.

Thnx for your help in advance
Greetings Thomas

What you want to do is very simple with Jack -- see: http://libremusicproduction.com/article ... arted-jack. I see the Beringer U-Control UCA222 has a "monitor" on/off switch which probably controls direct monitoring of the inputs (sending input to output directly, passing the computer). You'll want to turn monitoring off so that you only hear the sound coming from the computer.
