Hi all,
Nice to be here. Found lots o good information already! I started learning guitar a couple of years ago and find it great fun. Have been playing piano and keyboards on and off since I was a little kid.
When starting with the guitar I also started using software based ampsims and DAWs. I did this first on my stationary windows computer. But then I did a fresh install of a laptop with Ubuntu to see if I liked that, and I am so pleased with it that is is now my main computer.
So I am really new at linux audio. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 and have got that to work with Jack on the laptop. So right now I'm trying to get Guitarix and Ardour up and running and have also made some tests with Carla and running (windows) VSTs. Will be great to see what is possible to do!
