LMMS with VST support not working under Kubuntu 16.04 AMD64

Hi all.
I have done a fresh new installation in order to troubleshoot this problem.
I am using Kubuntu 16.04.1, 64bit version where I added your repo.
Then i installed lmms-vst-full which also pulled the wine packages.
None of my previous VST plugins works any more.
From lmms I get this useless dialog:

The VST-plugin /home/support/Work/Musica/vst/SpicyGuitar_32.dll could not be loaded for some reason.
If it runs with other VST-software under Linux, please contact an LMMS-developer!

While from command line I have:

Code: Select all

Error while reading.
Remote plugin did not connect.
Error while writing.
QProcess: Destroyed while process is still running.

I have tried with both the 64bit version of wine (the default in my case) and the 32bit one.
Same errors.

The reported version is:

Code: Select all

LMMS 1.1.3
(Linux x86_64, Qt 4.8.6, GCC 4.8.4)

Any hint on how to troubleshoot and possibly fix the issue?
