So I've rediscovered that LinuxSampler is apparently non-free. And I got it from kxstudio repo. I assume currently all stuff is getting piled into 1 repo which means it has both free and non-free content. I don't like that. I prefer non-free stuff to be put into separate repo and have clear signs that particular package is non-free. Can it be done?

For me the important thing is being a free software and supporting the 4 fundamental freedoms it gives us. Simple access to the source code doesn't cut it. And I explicitly withdraw myself from the Open Source movement because it misses the point.

Ah launchpad. Number one reason I hate Ubuntu is that they have non-free software in main repository. They've made a lot of really bad things but this one is the worst.

They really should be segregated from the main KXStudio stuff ideally

It's always nice to see other people who care. Sometimes I feel like I'm completely alone.

Anyway, falktx isn't oblivious to these things even if he has primarily a programmer-centric perspective. He's aware of the issues and does a generally good job with things overall.
