Feedback in Carla

So, I've opened a few plugins inside of a carla-patchbay and arranged them in order to have a delay unit that degrades the signal with each echo repeat (a custom-made tape-echo simulator).
Initially, it doesn't work as when I introduce a feedback loop. However, by switching the dry signal and feedback signal on the mixer, it begins to work, but now in mono. https://youtu.be/HdG9-uyT_Pk?t=31
Although it works fine with the mouse, using any midi controls whatsoever introduces a lot of jitter into my feedback signal. https://youtu.be/HdG9-uyT_Pk?t=93
I'm just curious if anyone has any idea what is going on here.
