How to get aclocal-1.15?

I installed kxstudio iso and I absolutely love it. I'm running in to one issue though, I am trying to build mednaffe as I cannot find any ppa or deb package for it - https://github.com/AmatCoder/mednaffe and there is a problem in make, it seems I need a newer version of aclocal.
What would be the best way to approach this? Is it is even possible to update this?
I didn't change anything in the configure files so I'm not sure why it is required anyway.
