Hi all,

Any help with this problem would be appreciated. I am totally confued

I have installed kxstudio repos on Ubuntu Mint 16.04 as per instructions on the website, including kxstudio-meta-all package and kxstudio-default-settings.

Then I installed kxstudio-meta-wine and wineasio. I installed Reaper 32 bit using Linreaper script.

Whenever I select the WineASIO driver in Reaper and press play (with just an mp3 on a track) there is no audio, and I get an ever-increasing number of xruns (see screenshot).

It doesn't matter what flavour of Ubuntu 16.04 I try - same outcome. This error does not occur in "pure" KXstudio 14.04.

I would just use Kxstudio 14.04 but I need the latest Kdenlive for a project I am working on, and this is not possible with Ubuntu 14.04.

Oh, and just to be sure, my user is in the audio group. I checked and double checked.

Any suggestions?

Just to be clear to any other users having this problem, falkTX means 64bit version of Reaper, not 32bit. For some reason I thought I had to use 32bit, I have no idea why.

Thank you falkTX. I just wish I had asked you earlier. Would have saved many, many hours.

Just to affirm what falkTX said - wineasio plays beautifully when using 64-bit Reaper. I run the KX repositories on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 and it is sweet!
