I'm not involved in any specific project, but I think we as a community should be interested in helping others, and I regularly find posts on other forums regarding media development aid. Strangely, Linux doesn't play that much of a role there. Time for some education I guess

Which linux media distribution is the most resource and user friendly? Specifically for use in 3rd world countries.

Good question. But I have no idea how ICT is in the 3rd world. I know there is an project: OLPC
