[Qtractor]how to pitch bend an individual note?

Hi there,
I'm new to Qtractor.
In a clip I want to bend a note, so I change the pitch bend value along the time line in the clip editor window, but I find that all the notes playing at the same time are bended, along with the note I selected.
I tried seperate the note I want to bend to a new clip and layer it on the old one, it doesn't help.
So I wonder how to bend a note without affecting other note on the same track.
Do I have to create a new track to put in all the bending notes ?

Thanks.

not a qtractor issue but a standard MIDI specification one: pitch-bend applies to all playing notes / running voices in the designated channel;

MIDI key-pressure channel messages (aka. polyphonic after-touch) might be the answer. however it surely depends on the target instrument module implementation, which may (or may not) be mapped to individual notes pitch or some other voice parameter control.

let me tell that the vast majority of MIDI instruments and controllers out there don't react or transmit key-pressure events, most only do channel after-touch (similar to standard pitch-bend as affecting all running notes vertically wise) at least by default, whether changing note pitch or anything else for that matter. however all this deserves further investigation but a question to address instrument vendors.

hth.
cheers

With two (or more) instances of the same instrument/preset, you can assign
one of them to legato mode, and also substantial glide (portamento)
You can then experiment with blendiing the bent and plain bits and pieces among
multiple tracks. In the 'plain' track, perhaps mute the corresponding un-bent notes,
or reduce their volume enough to be happy.

Or at the audio level, use audacity or other recorder to record a library of track(s) of actual pitchbent sounds,
or portamento versions, import a qtractor-made audio track in audacity, delete the plain notes,
and paste the new bent ones.

I once used 5 instances of one of my favorite sounds, with different modes and envelope settings,
and had great fun, almost like having a little band the could keep time

OK, now I think using an individual track for the pitch-bended notes would be the solution, thank you.
