I posted about this before, but after months of experimentation, I still can't accomplish what I need, which is to set up a full symphony orchestra of instrument plugins along with equalization and reverb/ambisonics processing.

I'm currently using NSM as my session manager, the music notation program Musescore as my DAW, Carla as my plugin host, and non-mixer to handle ambisonics. The signal flow is:

• connect MuseScore midi-out ports to channel splitter plugins loaded in Carla
• route the midi channels to appropriate .sf2 plugins loaded in Carla
• route the output of the .sf2 plugins to non-mixer strips set up for reverb and ambisonics
• connect non-mixer outputs to system playback
