Tracktion T7 is out

Post by eric71 »

Just a note that Tracktion has launched their T7 DAW today. Some impressive GUI updates and new features. I'm not sure how much they will help my workflow vs. T6, but I think people who work with loops libraries will like the updates. As a Linux user the big thing I hoped for was LV2 support, and alas, that has still not arrived. And the new "visual plugin selector" doesn't seem to show any plugin icons for me, even though it showed a bunch of plugin graphics while scanning my vsts. But overall, I'm excited to play with this. And although I had a free T6 license from before they began charging for the Linux version, the half priced upgrade was all I needed to get it.

And this video captures much of the new interface improvements:

Yes, the plugin thumbnails not working on Linux has been confirmed to me elsewhere too. And as good as native LV2 support would be in Tracktion, your work on Carla makes all the excellent LV2 plugins available, and I can't thank you enough for that. Tracktion + Carla is a far better tool than Tracktion alone.
