Hello from North Carolina

Post by southpaw »

Hello good people,
I am 20 year bassist. Been working with recording gear since before Pro Tools was available on the Mac and when MIDI was still relatively new  . I have been working with Linux for the past 5 years and I love it. I have worked with Gentoo, Debian, FreeBSD and Slackware. I like Slackware the best so far for what I do. I have been searching for a site like this for a while and I am glad I finally found it. Looking forward to expanding my knowledge here with fellow Linuxmusicians.

Hi southpaw,

every time I listen my Bass player (Mauro) I'm feel confused: HOW he can extract so much sound from just four (or five or six or eight) strings? :D
Then I look at my pedals and keyboards and computer and I'm a little envious. Eh eh eh!

I don't use Linux for recording by now, but only for write scores, so I'm not able to give hou some help about this.
The only hint I want to give you is "try": Linux is a big land with a variety of environment and things to discover. It is possiblle to have problem, but it's sure that you will have help from many peaople.

GRATIS!! :D
