Can i upgrade to KDE5 without breaking anything?

Hi. KDE 4 doesn't fix bugs since I've installed my system. I know they have moved on to 5, but this is really, really getting on my nerves.
Is there a way to upgrade to 5 without having to reinstall the whole system? I'm using my pc to play live, and I don't want to start over with everything, and I also do not want to break anything critical. Who can help?
