salut,
i connect my electric-guitar via usb-interface (behringer Q502) to the computer.
i start qjackctl with "preference - inputdevice and outputdevice : hw1:0 (USB Audio)"
see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCsZEFz3GjQ
now there are only 2 "inputs" : system capture_1 and capture_2
that seems to be the microphone of my laptop.
where is the usb-interface with my guitar?
(recording with audacity and without jack does work!)
thanks for any hint!!!
cheers
jochen

Re: jack - ardour - input problems
Salut Jochen,
Or maybe it's just a problem of a muted input in Ardour...? (Which Ardour version do you use?)
Your name sounds German
- maybe it might help that there are some German manuals for JACK and Ardour:
https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Ardour/
https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/JACK/

Good luck
Michael
sounds like you are sure about it and the meters in Ardour move according to your microphone...?openG wrote: that seems to be the microphone of my laptop.
