jack - ardour - input problems

Post by openG »

salut,

i connect my electric-guitar via usb-interface (behringer Q502) to the computer.
i start qjackctl with "preference - inputdevice and outputdevice : hw1:0 (USB Audio)"
see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCsZEFz3GjQ

now there are only 2 "inputs" : system capture_1 and capture_2
that seems to be the microphone of my laptop.

where is the usb-interface with my guitar?

(recording with audacity and without jack does work!)

thanks for any hint!!!

cheers

Did you disable pulseaudio first, before trying to use jackd?

Salut Jochen,

sounds like you are sure about it and the meters in Ardour move according to your microphone...? :?:
Or maybe it's just a problem of a muted input in Ardour...? (Which Ardour version do you use?)

Your name sounds German  - maybe it might help that there are some German manuals for JACK and Ardour:
https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Ardour/

Good luck :)
