Hello everyone,
I have hit a dead end with a problem here. I am using Ubuntu Studio 15.10 with the KXStudio programs to connect and manage my USB audio interface (M-Audio Fast Track 2).
The interface works well and I am able to play and record sound in my DAW Reaper (in Wine) without a problem and regular system playback also works fine (Firefox, Amarok music player, VLC, etc.). However, I recently installed TeamSpeak 3 and tried to talk to a friend. I was not able to get any input from my microphone (connected to my interface on the XLR port 1 of 2). Instead, he told me that he heard himself with a delay and was able to listen to my software music player (he even named the song that was currently playing on my system).
I had a look at Claudia and noticed that "system caputre_1" and "capture_2" are not connected to anything and while I see my system sound output and all applications in the regular Ubuntu sound settings with levels, I do not see my interface as an input device at all.
In TeamSpeak, when setting the input and output to "ALSA/Standard" or "PulseAudio/Standard", I am able to hear the other client, but apparently my input is somehow connected to my speaker output channel. When setting the input device to "ALSA/Fast Track(USB Audio) [plughw:1,0]", the program gives out an error stating it is unable to open the device. I am not sure what is wrong here, especially considering that recording works perfectly fine in Reaper.
I would be very glad if someone could help me with this or had any suggestion on where to start looking for a solution, as I am rather new to Ubuntu and a bit lost at the moment.
Kind regards!
No capturing device connected, loopback input instead
